1. About DecalStars

These terms govern your use of DecalStars ("the Site"), operated from the UK. By using the Site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Orders & payment

• All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
• Payment is taken at checkout via Stripe. For custom orders, an authorisation hold is placed and captured only on approval.
• We reserve the right to cancel any order and issue a full refund at our discretion.
• By placing an order you confirm you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent.

3. Production & delivery

• Standard orders are produced within 1–3 business days. Custom orders depend on approval time.
• Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers or customs.
• Risk of loss passes to you when the order is handed to the courier.

4. Returns & refunds

• Because decals are cut to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind.
• If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will replace or refund at no extra charge.
• Return requests can be submitted directly from your order page. We aim to review all requests within 1–2 business days.
• Custom orders: once approved and sent to production, refunds are not available unless the item is defective.

5. Creator / seller terms

• By uploading a design you confirm you own the rights or have a valid licence to use it commercially.
• You must not upload designs that infringe third-party intellectual property, contain illegal content, or are offensive or discriminatory.
• We reserve the right to remove any design without notice.
• Commission is 20% of the decal sale price (excluding shipping and VAT), paid via Stripe Connect.
• Commission is held for 7 days after the order is delivered to allow for the customer return window to pass. If a return or refund is approved within that period, the associated commission is cancelled.
• If a refund is issued after commission has already been paid out, DecalStars reserves the right to deduct the equivalent amount from future commission payments.
• We may withhold commission in cases of fraud, chargebacks, disputed orders, or policy violation.

6. Intellectual property

Designs uploaded by creators remain their property. By listing on DecalStars you grant us a non-exclusive licence to produce and sell the design on your behalf. The DecalStars name, logo, and site design are our property and may not be reproduced without permission.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DecalStars is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the order in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.
